Bryson DeChambeau’s set the lowest score in the LIV Golf League’s two-year history.
During the final round of the LIV Golf Greenbrier on the Old White Course in White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia on Sunday, DeChambeau shot a 12-under 58.
DeChambeau’s scorecard was merely a series of circles with 13 birdies. In the Sunday shotgun start, he began on the first hole and recorded six birdies in his first seven holes before bogeying the eighth. He won by five strokes against Mito Pereira after closing with four straight birdies on Nos. 15 through 18.
His final stroke on the final hole was the most dramatic, a long putt to break 60 by two shots.
The par-70 Old White course measured 7,255 yards on Sunday.
After his round, he was requested on the CW program if he expected US Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson would call him soon.
Many casual golfers desire to play with the same type of drivers that pros utilize. A word of advice to anyone looking at the latest driver used by Bryson DeChambeau: you might want to steer clear of it if your swing speed isn’t up to tour-level standards.
“I’ve got some equipment that’s functioning quite well, including the driver, which is a deadly combination with my putting. Clearly, I putted, drove, and trapped the ball well. “You could not have expressed it any better,” he said. “But if I do receive a call, that would be fantastic. If not, I’ll be cheering for them in Rome.”

Phil Mickelson congratulated Bryson DeChambeau on social media, but he also took the opportunity to annoy him: “Incredible round by Bryson. 58. What a weekend and victory he had! However, he snatched my jump. Not cool. He was pleased with his resolve after Cameron and I gave him a thumping Wednesday.”
DeChambeau received $4 million for his first LIV victory. Pereira, David Puig, Joachim Niemann, and Sebastian Munoz of Torque GC earned the team championship.
LIV Golf Bedminster will occur next week.
