What Happened to Emmy Gorman

On July 5, 2023 Emily Gorman, an eighth-grader from Harrisburg, perished in a tragic accident while doing what she enjoyed most: spending time on Lake Madison. During an innertube journey, she got hurt in a crash with a jet ski, which caused fatal injuries.
Emmy will be remembered eternally for her vivacious personality, ardent passion for volleyball, and profound love of animals. She was chosen to work with newcomers of sixth-graders at Harrisburg North Middle School because of her helping nature, and she eagerly accepted the opportunity. Her family and friends, who are in shock at her sudden passing, pursue to honor and recollect the different instances in which she improved their lives.

Next week, Central Church will host memorial services for Emmy Gorman. Not all of the things that need to be done for the funeral have been done yet. The Gorman’s were grateful for all the love and help they got from their church, extended family, and friends.

The family of the Emmy has put up a GoFundMe campaign to gather money for medical debts, funeral expenses, and lost income.
