The upcoming vertically foldable smartphone from Vivo appears to have been spotted on the benchmarking website Geekbench. The smartphone in question, thought to be the Vivo X Flip, has the model number V2256A and its presence on the benchmarking site indicates an impending launch.
The device has been spotted using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It will have 12GB of RAM, a 50MP Sony IMX866 primary camera, a 6.8-inch 120Hz main display, and a smaller secondary display on the top lid.
The rumoured Vivo X Flip smartphone scored 1,695 points on the single-core test and 4,338 points on the multi-core test while powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and 12GB of RAM. The device is seen running the Android 13 mobile operating system.
Vivo X Flip specifications (Expected)
The Vivo X Flip is a vertically folding smartphone from Chinese phone manufacturer Vivo. The device will reportedly have a foldable 6.8-inch 120Hz main display with FHD+ resolution. A secondary display with an HD resolution on the top lid is also expected. The optics department is said to benefit from a 50MP Sony IMX866 primary camera and a 12MP IMX663 ultra-wide camera. Zeiss could tune these cameras. A hole punch cutout on the inside will house the front camera sensor.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC from Qualcomm will power the device, along with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device will be powered by a 4,400mAh onboard battery with 44W fast charging support.
