Unlike other significant men’s baseball tournaments, MLB players can and will compete in the WBC.

For the first time, the final tournament will feature 20 teams (up from 16), with four teams going through the pre-qualifiers.

This version of the WBC was initially supposed to be played in 2021, but it got postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Team USA has been the defending champion since 2017. The action began on Wednesday, March 8 (the first pitch of the World Baseball Classic 2023 opener occurred in Taiwan at 11 p.m. ET on March 7, technically). In total, there will be 47 games. On March 21, Tuesday The championship game will begin in Miami. The games will be held in the US and Asia, with the finals culminating at Miami’s LoanDepot Park.

The World Baseball Classic 2023 is more exciting than ever, with the United States, Japan, and the Dominican Republic as the odds-on favorites to win. You must know that Japan is the only two-time winner of the World Baseball Classic, as it won the game in 2006 and 2009.

Many MLB stars are participating in the event, including Juan Soto, Shohei Ohtani, Mike Trout, Julio Rodriguez, Trea Turner, and Francisco Lindor.
